The first WGGA event for the year will be a Vineyard Walk at the West Madison Research Station in Verona, Wisconsin.

Amaya Atucha and Leslie Holland of the UW Fruit Team will be leading the event being held on Friday, March 31st, from 1pm - 4:30pm.

Amaya will have us in the vineyard discussing pruning and Leslie will follow-up with information on Disease Management and Spray Programs.

No cost or formal registration but let me know you're coming with an email so I have a head count to plan on.

Thanks to Todd & Janet, Julianna and Amy at Bailey's Run Vineyard in New Glarus for hosting a tour and wine tasting.

We got to see their current production area and tasting room plus the plans for expansion of both.  A tour of the vineyard followed where they have Itasca, Frontenac and Edelweiss grapes.  The highlight was the wine pairing of Bailey's Run wines with different cheeses, meats and chocolate.

Above - Todd Kuehl of Bailey's Run shows off his young Itasca grape vines.
